Jinx Riley, gal Friday, is in love with her boss. He's a fast-talking conman who wears a smile as well as he wears a suit. She's a Joan Blondell-type of dame who can out-talk even him. Unfortunately, he's got his eye on a beauty queen. Their mission: in the midst of the Depression, make the Chrysanthemum Parade bigger than its Pasadena rival.
